Summary:
Lan Wangji noticed the speculative, appreciative looks of others, but no-one dared approach him. His bearing was too forbidding, his expression too stern, his reputation too imposing. If he wanted to find that particular kind of comfort, he would have to be the one to initiate it.
But Lan Wangji only wanted one person in this world. And that person was completely unavailable; seemed to even actively avoid him at times, and then seek him out again the next day.
Wei Ying was incredibly frustrating. Lan Wangji now understood him even less than he used to.
