drawesome's Drawtober 2020 Challenge. The prompt was Overgrown. This was painted with a chinese calligraphy brush and ink stick. And then I added a colour tint in Photoshop. Both versions are included here.

Lan Xichen is also known by his title Zewu-Jun (泽芜君, Zéwú-jūn).

pumpkinpaix elaborates on the English translation of Zewu-jun here:

泽 has multiple meanings. it’s evident just in the two translations that are listed: “Brilliance Overgrowth Lord” and “Lord of Munificent Waters”...usually, 芜, as it is meant here, refers to land that is out of human cultivation, or wild, unchecked plant growth.

Anyway, reading this inspired the following er, imaginative painting. I thought Lan Xichen's robes would make a cool sort of cascading waterfall, so this was my attempt to create a forested, mountainous landscape with ink. :)

Hello everyone here. I'm after some help please finding a Wangxian fic.

I loved this fic so much that while playing with a picture of Lan Wangji in photoshop I added a beautiful quote from it. And I was going to gift it to the author.

Then my R/L got busy, as often happens, and it's only now when I went to upload the version of the art without the quote That I discovered this one. And I'm putting it on AO3 but really want to be able to link to the fic there.

( Here's the art, Sherlocks - I know you'll love the wonderful quote, but can you name the fic? )

I'll be so grateful if someone can point me to it. I probably have it bookmarked on AO3, so I'll be reading back to try to find it. But there are quite a lot of fic bookmarked.

I love Lan Xichen. First of the ‘Twin Jades of Lan’. With a calm and gentle nature. Also estranged from his father and mother. Managing a cranky uncle, the responsibility of the Lan Clan - all those rues - and still looking out for his younger brother whom he obviously loves dearly.

elwendell and I agreed that he seems very much like Lord Elrond in The Lord of The Rings. So I’ve put him here at the Cloud Recesses...or is it Rivendell?

Hey guys! I've been really out of creative juice,T_T and I was thinking that maybe drawing some chibi characters could help bring back my muse.

Hey guys!Here's a little thing I ended up doing the other day based off of this tweet. Basically Jiang Yanli and Jiang Cheng having a conversation and then there's Lan Xichen with baby Jingyi. Sooo, I'd been reading this XiCheng fic and the imagery the author creates was so inspiring,I wanted to try my hand at doing a different kind of art,a more muted style.References from Wang ZhuoCheng's photos were used for the modern-day look and lol,Lan Xichen has a side part,because I like it that way. :D

Yours truly participated in a MDZS/Untamed zine project, and now it's public! Seasons Zine download link. The theme was seasons, so we have the MDZS/Untamed characters experiencing the four seasons with each other. All works are SFW. Fics are 500 to 2k long, art is 1 or 2 pages, and there are 5 of each per season! Fics and art are a mix of novel, animation, and drama canons. There's a bunch of Lan Wangji/Wei Wuxian, but also rarer ships and gen. I hope you find something you enjoy!
