So, given that I haven‘t read the extras and haven‘t watched the drama, where things might be portrayed differently, what are your thoughts on Wangji's punishment? Specifically, did it happen with Lan Xichen‘s knowledge and/or consent?

I am of two minds about it. On the one hand I think Lan Xichen would do anything for his brother and probably bend or break rules for him. The Lan Elders probably knew or suspected this and might have gone behind his back, or left some specifics unclear by design.
On the other hand, as sect leader there are such high expectations of setting an example that he might have felt pressured to agree to such a harsh punishment to not be accused of favoritism.
All this is of course leaving out what Wangji himself said/thought about it.

Hello,everyone! I suddenly had an idea of making a quiz with 20 questions. I think many of these can be answered even if you've not finished the drama or donghua but hey,it's just a bit of fun. :D I'd love to do another one of these again! Heeeey, guys. I wasn't aware that there were hardly any screencaps of the donghua online so when

geckoholic asked where I got mine from I thought it would be helpful to share my screencaps. They have the subs in them but can be easily removed. They're on my journal and the links below will take you to the individual posts. I do plan on doing other posts for the openings,endings,the ads and the scenery/locations when I can.
